Discover the Wherryman’s Way: Walk the Waterways of History

The Let’s go! Wherryman area is inspired by the Wherryman’s Way, a major long‑distance walking route that follows the rivers Yare and Waveney. The trail celebrates the region’s strong connection to water, trade, and transport, shaped by the working wherries that once carried goods along these rivers. In the same spirit, the Let’s go! Wherryman area highlights riverside towns, open landscapes, and historic communities linked by waterways. It encourages people to explore places where walking, river life, and local heritage come together, reflecting the rhythms and character of this distinctive route.
