Frenze Beck Nature Reserve is a peaceful 15‑acre wildlife haven on the outskirts of Diss, shaped around a tributary of the River Waveney. Created in 2003 by South Norfolk Council as part of a European ecological project, it features rich wetland, meadow, pasture and scrub habitats supported by reed beds, ponds and ditches. After years of restoration led by volunteers, the reserve has become a thriving sanctuary for local wildlife and a welcoming place for gentle walks and quiet reflection. Today, it offers year‑round public access and a well‑maintained landscape that celebrates Norfolk’s natural heritage.
